Brute Scholastic Showcase April 13-14 in Delaware

Two Indiana teams will compete April 13-14 in the 2007 Brute
Scholastic Showcase, a dual-only tournament presented by the National Wrestling
Coaches Association and hosted by Delaware
State University
in Dover.
 
A pair
of two-time state champions ââ?¬â?? Mishawakaââ?¬â?¢s Josh Harper and Hobartââ?¬â?¢s Eric Galka ââ?¬â??
as well as two more one-time winners (South Bend Riley�s George Malone and
Chico Adams of Perry Meridian) pace the Indiana Gold team that�s coached by
Bill Flatt of South Bend Riley and Jim Schoettle of Perry Meridian.
 
The
Indiana Blue team, meanwhile, features three wrestlers that placed fourth at
this yearââ?¬â?¢s state finals ââ?¬â?? Michael Harmon of Southwestern (Hanover),
Yorktown�s Kyle Mosier, and Mishawaka�s Randy Morin
ââ?¬â?? as well as Homesteadââ?¬â?¢s
Justin Wight, who suffered only one loss this year. The Blue team is coached by
Westfield�s Terry O�Neill and Danny Struck of Jeffersonville.
 
Teams from 13 states ââ?¬â?? Indiana
(2), Colorado, Delaware
(2), Florida, Illinois,
Maryland, Michigan,
New Jersey (2), New York
(2), Ohio, Oregon,
Pennsylvania (2), and Virginia
(2) ââ?¬â?? as well as another from the New England
region will compete for the team title.
 
A year ago, Pennsylvania
Blue downed New Jersey Blue, 23-22, for the team championship. Indiana Gold
finished sixth after losing its final match to Illinois, 49-13.
