The Indiana Football Coaches Association has released its seventh set of polls for the 2008 season, and Heritage Christian is the new undisputed No. 1 in Class 2A. The Eagles, tied last week with defending 2A state champion Fort Wayne Luers, now lead the Knights by three rating points, though the latter outpolled them 6-3 in first-place votes.
All the other top-ranked schools from a week ago – Carmel (5A), Columbus East (4A), Indianapolis Chatard (3A), and Sheridan (1A) – remain unchanged. And there was little change elsewhere among the respective Top 10s as we draw closer to Week 10 and sectionals.
