Basketball is not the only sport where Indiana all-stars will be putting the state�s pride on the line this summer. The best track & field athletes also are competing for all-star status this spring.
The Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches (IATCCC) has issued its initial list of candidates being considered for this honor, and the chosen athletes will be evaluated throughout the 2005 season. Final rosters for both the boys and girls Indiana Track & Field All-Star teams will be announced at the state finals meet in early June.
Indiana all-star status is more than a symbolic honor. These young Hoosier men and women will convene on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University June 11 to compete against athletes from Michigan and Ohio in the Midwest Meet of Champions.
