The Top 500: Indiana high schools producing bumper crop of baseball prospects

Posted On: Friday, April 15, 2005

The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association list of the states Top 500 prospects indicates a strong crop of players competing on the diamonds this spring. This list was compiled by association members after evaluation at camps and clinics across the state as well as regular game competition during the season.

HoosierAuthority.com has grouped players into three regions in Indiana: Southern, Central, and Northern. Within each region, players are grouped by their status as prospects. The lists are separated into players whom the coaches consider draftable straight out of high school (D), major college prospects (MC), small college candidates (SC), and junior college possibilities (JC).

Part of the fun of baseball is debating over the merits of different players. After reviewing the coaches’ rankings, log onto the HA.com Message Boards and let us know your opinion!
