As promised, HoosierAuthority.com brings

Southeastern who has verbally committed to continue her academic and golf
careers at Ball State University
next fall. Heres Brittanys
first installment

As I
finish out my senior season of high school golf, there are so many thoughts
running through my mind. Two days ago, my Hamilton Southeastern team played
Brebeuf and Noblesville at the Hawthorns. To my surprise, we ended up finishing
third. My expectations for myself have never been higher than they are right
now. Then, I started to realize what its all about.

One word: FUN.

Why are my
expectations so high? Why am I so hard on myself? I already verbally committed
to Ball State. I dont need to impress anyone.
So I recently decided to make this all worth while. I couldnt ask for a better
team than what I have right now — we are like a family. I know I will still be
hard on myself, but Im sure going to have fun playing golf with my best
friends first.

We have the
Hoosier Crossroads Conference match on Monday. My last conference meet with my
high school team. My main goal for Monday is to relax and have fun. It sounds
so simple when I say it. But the last couple of matches I have played, I wasnt
really having fun. I was too worried about being perfect on every single shot I
took.

I look
forward to playing on Monday. Without a worry on my mind.
