It was
Round 2 this week and so, with my picks in tatters, lets see who upset the
apple cart this week. Ive once again switched the format so as to lead you
away from just how ****** my postseason guesses were.

Class 5A
Lake Central 14, Valparaiso 7
If I gave
out free pizza to everyone who said Lake
Central
would be in the
sectional final, it wouldnt cost me a dime.

Goshen 35, South Bend Adams
21
It is only
fitting that Adams revival season be ended by
another program that has been reborn from the ashes.

Warsaw 14, Fort Wayne
South 7
Tigers
have to face Snider next week, so Im not sure who the winner really was here.

Carmel 29, Noblesville 7
What do
you know, a MIC team actually won!

Pike 20, Ben Davis 12
These Red Devils
are officially all grown up.

Class 4A
Hobart 21, Hammond 13
Hammonds fairy tale season comes to an
end with a Brickie upside the head.

Muncie South 38, Delta 20
It wont
get as much play as a lot of others, but this is one of the biggest upsets of
the year.

Columbus East 35, East
Central 20
It is
going to be Mardi Gras in Columbus
this weekend. Keep in mind the only team that has beaten East this year is
North.

Jasper 13, Evansville Central 0
Bubba
picked Jasper to win this sectional, and here they are in the final. That would
be an indignity I just could not handle.

Class 3A
Western 17, Eastbrook 14
Eastbrook
had an awful tough road in their first season in 3A. They acquitted themselves
very well, thank you.

Danville 31, Crawfordsville
14
The
Warriors had better play a whole lot better down the road than they did
tonight.

Hamilton Heights 20, Rushville 19
I think
the Huskies may have been looking ahead to the Chatard matchup next week. I
dont blame them as it should be a good one.

Heritage Hills 42, Charlestown 24
Who do you
call when the elves steal all the presents? I know that was really obscure.

Class 2A
Delphi 24, Winamac 12
How do you
beat Seeger then lose to Delphi?

Jimtown 35, Fairfield 27
There is
still only one big dog in this neighborhood.

Northwestern 17, Tipton 0
When are
they going to learn that Devils are just not supposed to be blue?

Heritage Christian 31, Triton
Central 3
Add
football to the long list of sports where the Eagles are becoming a state
power.

Monrovia 43, Cascade 10
There may
not be many better turnaround stories in the state this year than the Bulldogs.

Brownstown 26, Paoli 7
Oh, boy!
Look who is waiting for Brownstown now (Providence).
I just love it when these two play each other. It is such a display of pure
hatred, not to mention reeeeaallly mature behavior.

Class A
Tri-County 23, Pioneer 21
You have now entered the twilight
zone.

North Miami 41, Culver Community
13
North Miami may get the last laugh. They are
the only one of the big three in the Three Rivers Conference that is still
alive.

Sheridan 49, Clinton Central 0
When I was
a real little kid, my grandfather told me a story about a time back in 1940
when Sheridan
actually lost a football game.

Indiana School for the Deaf 36, Indianapolis Lutheran 3
If this
story does not warm your heart, you are officially dead.
