The Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association has released its fourth set of softball rankings for the 2008 season, and this week it‘s Center Grove and Edgewood that are new to the top of the polls. The Trojans swap spots with now-No. 3 Avon in 4A, while the 3A Mustangs jump from fifth to first in taking over from New Palestine.

Meanwhile, defending state champions Indianapolis Scecina and Indianapolis Lutheran retain their strangleholds on the 2A and 1A polls.

Among other significant movers are …

•    Crawfordsville, which leaps from outside the Top 24 to a tie for ninth with North Harrison in 3A
•    Eastern (Greentown), which bumps from seventh to fourth in 2A
•    1A schools Clay City and Henryville, which move to eighth and ninth from last week’s position at Nos. 14 and 17, respectively
