GSoc: Pairings released for 2008 postseason!

A field of 244 girls teams is entered as pairings for the 15th Annual IHSAA Girls Soccer State Tournament Series were drawn Sept. 29 in Indianapolis.

Girls sectionals will begin the week after the boys on Monday, Oct. 13, at 32 sites and run through Saturday, Oct. 18. One-match regionals are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 16 sites, with the four semistates on Saturday, Oct. 25. The state finals will be Saturday, Nov. 1.

Carmel’s girls team, ranked first in this week’s state coaches’ poll, drew Lebanon in the eight-team sectional at Hamilton Southeastern. Defending state champion No. 8 Indianapolis Cathedral, meanwhile, will take on Lawrence North in the eight-team sectional at Warren Central.
