Center Grove hits No. 1 for the first time this season after taking apart Warren Central 56-7, coupled with Carmel’s shocking 24-17 loss at home to Ben Davis. Valparaiso gets back on the list after a 34-7 win over Lake Central.

For the second straight week, there are no new teams added to the 3A rankings. West Lafayette takes the No. 1 spot away from Indianapolis Chatard after its 37-7 dominating win over Sheridan. Bellmont makes the biggest jump from eighth to fourth.

CLASS A
For the first time this season – and long before that – a team not named Sheridan sits atop the 1A rankings. Bud Wright’s team was on the losing end of a 37-7 game against West Lafayette, and the Blackhawks’ three-billion-game winning streak comes to an end. Indianapolis Ritter moves up to first, not just because Sheridan lost but also because of its own big win over previously undefeated Heritage Christian. Perry Central takes the Patoka Lake Athletic Conference title with a 28-0 victory over Paoli in a battle of unbeatens. Also, in a game that would otherwise not be newsworthy, Lafayette Central Catholic sacked Clinton Prairie and salted the Earth so nothing would ever grow again in a 96-0 massacre.
