FB: Uncle Mike’s Notebook Week 10

Uncle Mike owns stock in a power company. So, he is happy tonight because lights went on in half the gyms across Indiana. Here is what else he is thinking …

Northern Indiana
Fort Wayne Snider 41, Homestead 14
You can only play the people they put on your schedule. That means Homestead needs to get some new people on its schedule.

Plymouth 25, Concord 24
It is a shame either one of these two teams had to lose this early.

Northridge 26, Logansport 20
Can somebody explain to me how Northridge, Logansport, and Lowell wound up in the same sectional? I mean, even if they were tossing darts, somebody had to be an awful shot.

South Bend St. Joseph’s 35, Glenn 0
Take that! And don’t come back until you grow up.

North Judson 31, Wheeler 28
I wonder if Wheeler should join Homestead’s conference.

Central Indiana
Kokomo 40, Anderson Highland 14
They aren’t going to beat Carmel or anything, but this time around Kokomo really is pretty good.

Warren Central 49, Hamilton Southeastern 21
Will the real Slim Sha — I mean Warren Central, please stand up?

Heritage Christian 53, Union County  7
Heritage Christian had the ball for a total of eight minutes in this game. I am not kidding.

Sheridan 55, Tri-Central 6
Memo to a small school that will remain nameless: This is how you win a mismatch with class.

Ben Davis 34, Pike 14
Don’t look now, but that big gorilla on Indy’s westside is showing signs of waking from hibernation. Their record should really be 7-1-2. That is because they have beaten themselves twice this year.

Southern Indiana
Washington 20, Mount Vernon (Posey) 12
Would somebody please tell Washington this is football? They are supposed to stink at football. It is tradition.

Evansville Memorial 42, Gibson Southern 20
Attention, Central Indiana elitists: Remember Reitz last year?

Linton 13, Tecumseh 6
Two very small schools, and I am betting this was one GREAT game.
