The Associated Press has released its sixth set of polls for the 2008-09 boys basketball season, and Triton is back on top of the Class A rankings after taking over for former leader Rockville. Otherwise, there’s not much movement going on this week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Warsaw moves into the Top 10 from 13th to 10th in 4A, where four new schools now reside: Decatur Central (15th) and Jay County, Noblesville, and Mishawaka (all tied for 17th). In 3A, Princeton jumps from fifth to second, Rochester rises from seventh to fifth, Peru enters the Top 10 after moving from 11th to 10th, Southridge ascends from 18th to 11th, and NorthWood goes from 18th to 13th.

Finally, Monroe Central is new to the 1A poll at No. 12.

The other previous No. 1-ranked schools – unbeatens 4A Bloomington South, 3A Evansville Memorial, and 2A Tipton – all stay the same.

Teams are listed by current ranking followed by school, record (through Dec. 27), first-place votes if applicable, and vote total. Your 74 ranked schools from Dec. 29:
