Uncle Mike is definitely suffering from a case of basketball overdose. Could there be a more beautiful disease? He isn’t even grumpy this evening. Those of us who know him, however, usually like him better when he is.
Here are his thoughts on Wednesday night’s action …
Class 4A
Valparaiso 53, Chesterton 48 (2OT)
This sectional has been a major source of heartache for Chesterton in the last couple of years.
Pike 50, Brownsburg 48
The champions go down on a last-second shot. Somehow, it is fitting that would be the way it happened.
Class 3A
Owen Valley 51, Greencastle 48
These are big days in Spencer. This outdoes the opening day of deer-hunting season.
Class 2A
Park Tudor 44, Heritage Christian 38
This is one of the biggest upsets we will see this week.
Tipton 48, Oak Hill 44
The Blue Devils won, but they had better grow some bigger horns before Fort Wayne Luers comes calling.
Class A
Fall Creek Academy 52, Indianapolis Lutheran 49
What is this world coming to? Now we have Charter schools beating private schools! This is going to open up a whole new class of whining.
Borden 76, Rock Creek Academy 44
Got milk? Nobody under the age of 40 is going to get that reference. And you get bonus points if you can remember the name of the cow.
