SB RANKINGS: Eight schools make moves of four spots or more

The Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association has released its third set of polls for the 2009 softball season, and there’s lots goin’ on. The rundown:

In 4A: Castle rises from seventh to third, Noblesville goes from 10th to sixth, Homestead moves up from 13th to ninth, and Crown Point leaps from 18th to 10th.

In 3A: Boonville ascends from seventh to fourth, while Andrean bumps up from 14th to ninth.

In 2A: Hanover Central goes from ninth to fourth, Speedway rockets up all the way from 23rd to seventh, and Wheeler moves from 13th to 10th.

In 1A: Riverton Parke rises from 11th to fifth.

All four previous No. 1s – 4A Center Grove, 3A New Palestine, 2A Indianapolis Scecina, and 1A Tecumseh – remain atop their respective classes.

Teams are listed by rank followed by school, first-place votes if applicable, rating points, and record (Top 10 schools only). The ICGSA’s 95 ranked schools from April 20:
