The Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches has released its fifth poll for the 2009 boys track & field season, and Fort Wayne fans surely will be talking about spectrums and their two ends.
That’s because while Carroll (Fort Wayne) has flown up the charts from its previous 20th spot all the way to No. 5, Fort Wayne Northrop has dropped from its previous location of second all the way to 21st. Yipes.
Elsewhere, we find Carmel (second), Warren Central (third), and Lawrence Central (fourth) all moving up one spot courtesy of Northrop’s tumble, while Pike plummets from sixth to 14th. Hamilton Southeastern (22nd) and Marion (25th) are new this week, while Fort Wayne Snider (was 21st) and Terre Haute South (was 25th) drop out.
