BG RANKINGS: Norwell, Evansville North on the move in golf poll

The Indiana High School Golf Coaches Association has released its seventh poll for the 2009 boys golf season and, as could be expected, we have some fine-tuning going on as we draw closer to sectional play that starts June 5.

Indianapolis Cathedral, Avon, and Hamilton Southeastern remain in the top three spots, with Yorktown and Carmel each inching up one spot into fourth and fifth, respectively. Other teams upwardly mobile this week are Norwell (up from 10th to eighth) and Evansville North (up from 17th to 12th).

Schools new to the rankings this week are Warsaw (tied for 21st with Northridge) as well as Peru and Wawasee (each tied for 29th), while Center Grove, Evansville Memorial, and Goshen drop out.

Teams are listed by rank followed by school and first-place votes if applicable. Your seventh set of ’09 rankings from May 21:
