Here are results from the 72nd Annual IHSAA Wrestling Sectionals held Jan. 30 at Sectionals 29-32, courtesy of ihsaa.org and indianamat.com:

Admission: $5
Advancement: The top four placewinners in each weight class advance to the regional tournament. Additionally, the championship team in the individual sectional tournament advances to the regional round of the team tournament.

Was it sandbagging, sports fans? One week after placing second to No. 5 Evansville Reitz in the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference Tournament, sixth-ranked Evansville Mater Dei makes it 34 sectional championships in a row with a 26-point win over the runner-up Panthers. Mater Dei does it by crowning six champions and two runner-up finishes to three and four for Reitz; Evansville Memorial (two, three) takes third.
