Not all comebacks are in the arena of competition. Sometimes they take place in the arena of life.
Two years ago, Evan Hale of Hamilton Heights lost both of his parents in a tragic auto accident. Somewhere in the midst of the panic and grief, a 16-year old made the conscious decision that his spirit was tougher than any curveball that life could throw his way.
Today, Evan is a prominent member of the Hamilton Heights swimming team, an excellent student, and a respected member of the Huskie community. We hope you enjoy his St. Vincent Spirit of Sport Awards’ Comeback Athlete of the Year nomination story …
