The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association has released its third set of polls for the 2010 season, and we have a pair of new poll leaders in Class 3A Andrean and 2A Cambridge City Lincoln.
Andrean, the defending 3A state champion, moves from second to first in overtaking Brebeuf (now fourth), while Cambridge City rockets up from 10th to supplant previous leader Forest Park (now tied for fourth with Centerville) in 2A. And there’s lots of other significant moves going on as well:
4A: Brownsburg ascends from 15th to sixth, while Lake Central goes from 13th to 10th.
3A: New Palestine rises from seventh to second, Yorktown shoots up from 16th to fifth, South Bend St. Joseph’s vaults from being unranked to seventh, and Vincennes Lincoln moves from 15th into a tie for ninth with Mt. Vernon (Fortville).
2A: Fairfield leaps from eighth to second, Indianapolis Ritter goes from unranked all the way to third, and defending 2A state champ Heritage Christian bumps up from 13th to ninth.
1A: Rockville moves from eighth to third, North Daviess noses up from sixth to fourth, Barr-Reeve goes from 11th into a tie for seventh with Fort Wayne Canterbury, and Lanesville ascends from 16th to 10th.
