Base RANKINGS: New Pal, Cowan new poll leaders in 3A, 1A

The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association has released its fourth set of polls for the 2010 season, and we have a pair of new No. 1s as New Palestine takes over for Andrean in Class 3A and Cowan surpasses Frontier in 1A.
But that ain’t all that’s goin’ on as we put a wrap to April …
4A: Bloomington South rises from seventh to fifth, Anderson Highland leaps from unranked to sixth, and Lake Central bounces from 10th to seventh.
3A: Brebeuf climbs from fourth to second, Crawfordsville moves from fifth to third, South Bend St. Joseph’s ascends from seventh to fifth, Vincennes Lincoln goes from ninth to sixth, and Leo leaps from 14th to eighth.
2A: Forest Park inches up from fourth to third, Wapahani moves from sixth to fourth, Heritage Christian climbs from ninth to fifth, Fountain Central ascends from 13th to eighth, and Evansville Mater Dei goes from 14th into a tie for eighth with Fountain Central.
1A: Lafayette Central Catholic rise from fifth to third, Whiting goes from sixth to fifth, Trinity Lutheran moves from 11th to eighth, and Edinburgh ascends from 14th to 10th.
