SPRING PREVIEW @ THE LEGENDS
Top-ranked Avon rolled to a 15-stroke team victory over seven other ranked foes in the Spring Preview held at The Legends in Franklin. Conditions were tough on the par-72 layout as winds ranged from 15 to 25 miles an hour on a sunny, 55-degree day.
The victorious Orioles, buoyed by the 1-2 individual finish of Patrick Rogers (72) and David Janney (73), also got an 11th-place finish from Jake Mayes (77) in totaling a score of 303 in the 24-team tourney. 
Unranked Center Grove (318) placed a surprising second, with No. 6 Floyd Central (319) third, No. 11 Bloomington North (323) fourth, No. 14 Zionsville (324) fifth, and fifth-ranked Carmel tying Columbus North at 326 for sixth.
