The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association has released its seventh set of polls for the 2010 season, and there is a crazy amount of shakin’ goin’ on as three of the four classes have sprouted new top-ranked teams.
Class 4A Indianapolis Cathedral swaps spots with previous leader Crown Point in moving from second to first, Forest Park goes from third to first in supplanting now-No. 5 Heritage Christian in 2A, and 1A Frontier swaps positions with former No. 1 Cowan in moving from second to first. Elsewhere …
4A: Brownsburg climbs from sixth to fourth, Bloomington South jumps from ninth to fifth, and Anderson Highland ascends from 12th to eighth.
3A: Leo rises from fifth to third, Yorktown moves from sixth into a tie for fourth with Crawfordsville, Northwestern noses up from eighth to seventh, and Jasper does the same in going from 11th to 10th.
2A: Fountain Central leaps from fifth to second, Northfield climbs from seventh to fourth, Centerville jumps from 12th to seventh, Delphi rockets up from unranked to ninth, and Wapahani inches up from 11th to 10th.
1A: Whiting rises from fifth to third, Trinity Lutheran jumps from ninth to fifth, Shakamak goes from 10th to eighth, and Covington jumps from unranked to ninth.
