W RANKINGS: Top eight stay the same heading to sectionals

The seventh set of team rankings for the 2009-10 wrestling season has been released by IndianaMat.com’s decbell, and the top eight schools remain unchanged as we head to sectionals.
Mishawaka, Crown Point, and Yorktown stay 1-3, with Perry Meridian and Castle rounding out the final Top 20 of the regular season. Interestingly, spots 5-7 also stay the same with Castle, Evansville Reitz, and Evansville Mater Dei despite Reitz’s weekend title in the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference Tournament at Castle.
Elsewhere, Penn swaps spots with Portage in moving from 10th to ninth.

BSw RANKINGS: Munster catapults past Carmel to No. 1 in IHSSCA poll

The Indiana High School Swim Coaches’ Association has released its ninth poll for the 2009-10 boys swimming season, and Munster is back on top after overtaking previous leader Carmel.
The Mustangs now hold a 10-point lead over the Greyhounds, with the next five schools – Chesterton, Hamilton Southeastern, Fishers, Castle, and Northridge – remaining unchanged from the previous poll. North Central (Indianapolis), meanwhile, is the week’s big mover among the Top 10, jumping up from 15th to 10th.

GSw RANKINGS: Chesterton, Center Grove trade places week before sectionals

The Indiana High School Swim Coaches’ Association has released its ninth poll for the 2009-10 girls swimming season, and the news this week is the trading of places between former No. 4 Chesterton (now third) and previous No. 3 Center Grove (now fourth).
That duo of Trojans still trails juggernauts Carmel and Hamilton Southeastern, with Fishers and Zionsville now tied for fifth behind them. Munster is the new team in the Top 10, moving up one spot from 11th a week ago to No. 10 this time around.
